Dodgers back above .500 with three straight wins

By Jake Courtepatte
It's clear that fatigue is not a factor for the Bolton Dodgers baseball squad making a late-season push, as they picked up three wins in just over twenty-four hours early this week in North Dufferin Baseball League action.
Following four straight losses late last month, they were looking to get back above .500, a level they have sat at comfortably for most of the season.
A double-header in Clearview Sunday held a ton of implications for both sides, as the Dodgers and Orioles have been battling for middle ground in standings all season.
A sweep of the series through a combination of work at the plate and on the mound put the Brewers back in comfortable playoff position.
The second game of the series saw some of Bolton's best hitters do what they do best, including Jon Bloomfield going three-for-three with a double, cashing in twice. Power-hitter Michael Gemmiti had two hits of his own including a double.
On the mound, Damian Allison did almost six innings of work, allowing just five hits. Shawn Hansen came in relief, cruising to a 7-5 victory for the Dodgers.
The Angus Black Sox, winners of just three games all season, were the Dodgers' final victims of the week Monday as Bolton won their third game in a row 5-2.
