He enjoys it so much, he's announced he will be running for a fourth term in next month's municipal elections. “It's been very gratifying to see the changes,” he remarked, adding there will be more changes in the next four years that will have to be addressed. They will include addressing the combination of technology-based and inquiry-based education. The role of the trustee will be changing, requiring experience and “strategic thinking.” He also said the board has been recognized for its best practices, and he said that's the result of support and trust of the Catholic school community. Mr. Di Cosola is the father of two daughters, and the youngest is just starting high school at St. Michael Catholic Secondary School. “As a father, I'm well aware of the issues at hand,” he said, stressing the importance of academic, social and spiritual aspects of Catholic education. “I welcome challenge every term,” Mr. Di Cosola said, commenting on his chances for re-election. “I respect the opinions and choices of the community.” “To be an active trustee is most important,” he added, pointing out he has sat on three Town of Caledon committees; Graffiti, Pam Am Games hosting and Arts Advisory. “That gives me a fairly good pulse of the community,” he said. A Bolton resident for 17 years, Mr. Di Cosola previously was a member of the Toronto Catholic District School Board, where he served as trustee for two terms from 1988 to 1994. --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2014-09-04 16:01:15 Post date GMT: 2014-09-04 20:01:15 Post modified date: 2014-09-04 16:01:15 Post modified date GMT: 2014-09-04 20:01:15 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
