The 113 acres of sunflowers will be available to enjoy from July 26 to August 10. Sean Davis was happy to report that, despite the unpredictable weather we've been experiencing, the flowers will be ready in time for opening day. Davis said once they pick an opening day, they count back 67 days before it and ensure the seeds are in the ground. But really, he shared, it's up to nature to decide whether they'll be open in time or not. “That's the biggest stress right there. They're the main show, so they've got to be looking good,” said Davis. He shared that, luckily, the recent hot weather has put the farm back on track. After the seeds are in the ground in January, they begin planning all the special events that will run for the community to enjoy. There will be a vast variety of activities and things to do during the three weeks that they'll be open, besides gazing at the rows and rows of sunflowers, of course. August 1 will be their Sunflower Soiree, complete with live music, food, and drink. The Caledon Music Festival will take place on August 2 in the fields. This year, Davis Family Farm will host its first-ever Celiac Family Day, not only to raise money for Celiac Canada but also to raise awareness. Sean Davis and his son both have celiac disease and are ambassadors for the Canadian Celiac Association. The day will feature numerous gluten-free vendors, as well as five doctors from McMaster University who will come and speak about Celiac Disease. “It's just a big part of our lives. We've been chatting with Celiac Canada for a couple years now, trying to see if we could do something with that and this year we finally were like, ‘let's do it and see how it goes'. The awareness of celiac disease is the most important thing, and I know a lot of people that have questions about it,” shared Davis. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with the doctors on-site at the farm to address any questions they may have. The farm will also host multiple paint nights, as well as a family fun night in collaboration with the Caledon Golden Hawks team. A summer Santa Claus will also make an appearance, Sunflower Yoga and the Mom Market will also be making appearances this summer. Tickets can be purchased in advance for the season at torontosunflowerfields.ca.  Alternatively, if you prefer to wait for the weather, tickets can also be purchased at the door. --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2025-07-24 10:08:10 Post date GMT: 2025-07-24 14:08:10 Post modified date: 2025-07-24 10:08:12 Post modified date GMT: 2025-07-24 14:08:12 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
