Sunday saw many in the community take advantage of the great weather to attend Remembrance Day services in Alton and Bolton. Members of the Alton Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion were marching in parade to the Cenotaph

The Alton Public School choir, under the direction of Judith Phillips, led the singing of O Canada.

Flight Sergeant Nicholas Romeo of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets Snowy Owl Squadron laid a wreath on behalf of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Corporal Christine Savoie of the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering played the Last Post and Reveille at Sunday's service in Bolton, while Captain Don Rea of Caledon Fire and Emergency Services played Lament.

Brian Ewles represented the Alton Firefighters at the wreath laying ceremony.

Participants in the Bolton service marched from the fire hall to the Cenotaph at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

William Hanna was flanked by his son Colin and daughter-in-law Dawn in laying a wreath on behalf of the Hanna family. He also laid the wreath on behalf of his fellow Korean War veterans.

The anthems at the Bolton service were sung by Carly Cianflocca.

Mayor Allan Thompson laid a wreath on behalf of the Town.
