Organizer Dave Heydon said last week they didn't have the final total of money raised for the day, but he said it would be around $42,000. The event was in support of Chase Galea, a local seven-year-old boy who has cerebral palsy and hearing loss. The funds raised from the event will go toward trust fund that's been set up to provide him with a better life. Haydon agreed the weather probably played some role, as attendance was about 220; down a bit from last year. “But still a very successful day and a lot of fun,” he said. Heydon and his wife Mariah were very thankful for the support the effort drew. “We want to thank the many volunteers and the generous sponsors,” he said. “It wouldn't have been possible without them.” These participants in last Sunday's Chase the Dream were leaving the Terra Cotta Inn for their drive through the area, before returning for the festivities.Photo by Bill Rea --------------------------------------------------- Images: https://caledoncitizen.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/35-chase-leave-5.5-inch-300x266.jpg --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2014-09-04 16:18:17 Post date GMT: 2014-09-04 20:18:17 Post modified date: 2014-09-04 16:18:17 Post modified date GMT: 2014-09-04 20:18:17 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
