Mayor Allan Thompson officiated at this cake cutting, accompanied by Councillor Jennifer Innis and her daughter Lyra; Councillor Gord McClure; Melissa Maodus, who was representing Dufferin-Caledon MP David Tilson; Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones; Dudley, the Downey's mascot, John and Darlene Downey; and Councillors Nick deBoer and Johanna Downey.Photos by Bill Rea Things started with a pancake breakfast, compete with strawberries. Tim Shannon and Shaler McPherson were pitching in to cook the pancakes. Milking is always important on a farm, even if it's just a simulation. Grayson Sammut, 2, of Toronto was trying his hand at it. There were lots of fun things for the young folks to try. Isaac Kennedy, 4, of Toronto got to work on his putting skills. Getting around the pedal car track is easy if Mom's doping all the work.
