Celebrate the food, drink, music and dance of Bavarian culture at Cold CreekÂBreak out your lederhosen and dirndl for King Township's inaugural Kingtoberfest, a cultural celebration where the essence of Oktoberfest will meet the natural beauty of Cold Creek Conservation Area on Saturday, October 19 from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Festival-goers ages 19 and older can now buy their tickets online at king.ca/kingtoberfest. Immerse in the lively rhythms of polka music, rock out to a German rock and cover band, and enjoy traditional games and activities. Savour German cuisine including bratwursts, pretzels, schnitzels and soup as well as desserts from local food vendors including Get & Go Grill, Mustache Burger, That Pretzel Dough, and official sausage sponsor, Wagener's Meat, and more. Sip on German beers, wine, cider, coolers and non-alcoholic beverages. Free parking will be available on-site. Purchase German-themed merchandise, and festival gear. Partake in traditional games and interactive experiences, such as the stein hold contest. General admission and VIP passes can be purchased online at king.ca/kingtoberfest until Friday, October 18 at 11 p.m. Tickets prices will increase at the door. Note: Tickets are non-refundable. Pre-sale general admission is $20 (+ HST) and the VIP ticket of $40 includes a signature stein and drink tickets. General admission the day of is $25.
