Title: Casting call in Shelburne

Audition for a part in Tipling Stage Company's The Trouble with Trent, a comedy by Fred Carmichael, directed by Denis Stephenson June 24 at 7 p.m. at Grace Tipling Hall, Shelburne.
Parts available are for two young women (20s to 30s), four middle-aged women and two middle-aged men.
Three mystery enthusiasts write a detective story in the first person under the name Sarah Trent, emailing chapters to each other and meeting to polish it off. Then their agent hints that Sarah Trent is a real person and book sales soar. Meeting at a beach cottage to finish their second book, the three are inundated with fans wanting to meet Sarah, and become entangled in a real life whodunnit comedy involving a socialite, a blackmailer and undercover government agents.
Rehearsals will be Aug. 9 to Oct. 8, Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays and/or Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. (the director will determine a final schedule when casting is finalized).
Tech week will be Oct. 11, and 13 to 15.
Performances will be Oct. 16, 17, 18, 23 and 24.
