Canada Day holiday service hours will be in effect at the RegionRegion of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for Canada Day this coming Monday (July 3) and will reopen Tuesday. Residents are advised that there will be no waste collection Monday due to Canada Day. Waste collection will be one day later that week. All Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) will also be closed Saturday (July 1) and Monday. They will be open for regular operating hours Sunday and Tuesday. Human Services Reception, Employment Resource Centres, Rent Supplement offices, Peel Access to Housing, Service Access, Ontario Works, and Peel Living offices will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday. Peel Living tenants can still call the 24-hour request line at 905-790-7335 to report any maintenance issues. Emergency homeless shelters will remain open. They can be contacted by phone or by using the online Find a Shelter tool. For emergencies related to food, medication or personal support, call the Region at 905-791-7800. The following Regional offices and services will be closed Monday and will reopen on Tuesday — Region of Peel services; Access Peel; Public Health Clinics; Dental services; Breastfeeding services; and Healthy Sexuality services. TransHelp service hours will be from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday. All rides for Monday and Tuesday must be booked by midnight Sunday. The Accessible Transportation offices will be closed; regular office hours will resume Tuesday. For more information, contact call 905-791-1015.
