Title: Call to police leads to drug arrest

Concerns about a possible impaired driver resulted in a 29-year-old Toronto man being charged April 6.
Caledon OPP reports several calls were made to the communications centre about a possible impaired driver on Regional Road 50. The callers stated the vehicle was being driven erratically, and have been seen crossing in front of on-coming traffic.
Officers were able to find the car, a black Toyota Corolla, on the road, north of Adjala Township. They stopped the car and immediately noticed the driver was displaying many signs of being impaired by a drug, so he was arrested. The car was searched and police found a large sum of money, as well as drugs, believed to be heroin and marijuana, belonging to both the driver and a passenger.
The driver was charged with possession of a schedule I substance, possession of property obtained by crime, driving while his ability was impaired and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The passenger, a 29-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a schedule II substance and possession of property obtained by crime.
