On March 1, the Caledon Public Library (CPL), Palgrave United Community Kitchen (PUCK) and Albion Hills Community Farm (AHCF) hosted their annual Seedy Saturday event. It featured a seed exchange, many garden-themed vendors, a cafe, a book sale from the Friends of the Caledon Public Library, and much more. Laura Nolloth, Communications and Cultural Development Coordinator for the CPL, said the library was very happy to see how many people came out for the event. She said creating and maintaining partnerships in the community is very important for the CPL, and that the library was proud to help host Seedy Saturday. Jill Jambor, the CPL's Manager of Communications and Cultural Development, said one of the highlights of the day was chatting with so many different enthusiastic gardeners. βIt's nice to see people connecting over their passions and shared interests,β said Jambor. Karen Hutchinson, a volunteer with the AHCF, said she loved the new location for this year's event. She said it's been nice to see the event grow over the years. |
