Caledon Public Library — Journey from Africa to the New World

Caledon Public Library (CPL) will be celebrating Black History Month with special programming.
Join CPL and Down to Earth Conservation Education to embark on generations past, including great granddad's historic journey from the heart of Africa to the New World. Black History: An Ancestral Journey is a program for all ages at the Albion-Bolton Branch Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.

Celebrating Black History Month, learn about slavery and emancipation. Discover the role of African descendants in the development of North America. Reflect upon the history, struggle and enduring spirit of those of African heritage. Lessons of respect, humanity, character ed and social justice will be woven throughout the presentation.
