Between August 4 and August 18, the Caledon Music Festival will be held. Concerts take place at a number of different locations across Town.  Festival organizer Terry Lim said some of the world's finest musicians will be playing in the festival.  “This year, the festival becomes an amazing, colourful canvas, bringing to life stories, emotions, and the experiences that make us human, all through the power of music,” said Lim. “With an incredible lineup of artists, we're diving straight into the stories that cover everything life throws at us.” Lim said each concert held as part of this year's Caledon Music Festival will have its own unique impact on residents' ears, hearts and minds. The first show of this year's festival will be held at 2 p.m. on August 4 at the Alton Mill Arts Centre. Titled “Friends of Chamber Music”, the show will feature everything from operatic arias to electronic music.  “It's going to be an incredible afternoon of chamber music-making,” said Lim. “Tasting Notes”, a signature event that pairs drinks, beautiful views, and jazz-influenced classical music, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on August 7 at Davis Family Farm.  “Located in the hills of Caledon East, Davis Family Farm grows on average 60 acres of sunflowers,” said Lim.  He said the combination of the views and music will make for a magical experience and bright atmosphere. At 7:30 p.m. on August 14, there will be a “Cello Recital” at Caledon East United Church. This will be no normal recital however, because performing will be cello virtuoso Daniel Hamin Go and pianist Ben Smith. Lim said both artists are truly remarkable and will showcase the mysteries of their respective instruments. The grand finale of this year's Caledon Music Festival will be held at 2 p.m. on August 18 at the Alton Mill Arts Centre. It will be a concert called “Passions and Storms” and bring together the combined musical talents of all who will be performing as part of this year's Caledon Music Festival.
