There were many entrants in the Lawn Tractor Pull Saturday, including Bolton area resident Allison French.Photos by Bill Rea Glen Aitchison of Brampton brought his tribute to Elvis to the Fair. Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies President Sylvia Parr officially opened the Fair. There were many different types of farm animals on display, including these sheep that Chelsea Reid, 4, of Erin and her sister Kylie, 21 months, got to meet. The pony rides are always popular with the younger crowd at the fair. Adam Campbell of Orangeville was making sure Owen, 2, was safe in the saddle while Kennedy, 10 could take care of things herself. Tori LeBlanc or Glendale Farms in Owen Sound was guiding the ponies. Caledon Agricultural Society President Stan Dacres spoke at the opening ceremonies Saturday. Uxbridge resident Julien Kellen entertained Fairgoers Sunday, accompanied by Brett Simmonds on guitar, Eddy Ruyter on keyboards, Bodan Mulholland on drums and Adam Dugas on bass. Dufferin-Caledon MP David Tilson made a presentation to Caledon Agricultural Society Past-President Anne Ward in recognition of her 50 years service to the Fair. Heather Black, formerly of Erin, was showing Windsor Farm Hafrena in the Welsh Pony Show. Calderon Fair Senior Ambassador Patrick Forster was among those taking part in the opening ceremonies Saturday. There were lots of fun games on the Midway. Vida Wagman, 4, of Inglewood was reaching for a Surprise Bag. There were three entries Sunday morning in the Nine and Under Beef Show class. Gus Reid, 4, of Moorefield showed Black Cherry, while Shelley Martin assisted her niece Kayla Ross, who's almost 2, from Grand Valley in showing Bubble Gum and Scott Martin helped his nephew Tyler, 3, with Prince.
