Starting October 1, Caledon Community Services (CCS) will partner with the Caledon Public Library (CPL) to offer employment services and community support at branches across Town.  The announcement was made in a September 16. CCS will provide services at the Caledon East, Southfields Village, and Albion Bolton branches of the CPL on select days. Employment and training services, and community resources, will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Caledon East branch and Wednesdays at the Southfields Village branch. Employment and training services will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays at the Albion Bolton branch.   In the announcement, CCS CEO Geraldine Aguiar said CCS is thrilled to collaborate with the CPL.  “Libraries are trusted, accessible spaces, and this partnership will help us reach individuals who may otherwise face barriers to receiving the employment and life-changing supports that promote wellbeing that they can benefit from,” said Aguiar. “This is the next logical step to the hybrid mix of service delivery that is already in place.” Colleen Lipp, CEO and Chief Librarian of the CPL, shared in Aguiar's excitement for the new partnership. “We are excited to help break down barriers by bringing services closer to Caledon residents. This partnership will give library visitors immediate access to community service professionals and resources that compliment what CPL already offers — safe public spaces, knowledgeable staff, access to information and technology, a wide array of courses and tools, and programming that supports social connections and all types of literacy,” said Lipp in a statement. CCS and the CPL will celebrate their new partnership with an event at the Southfields Village library branch at 10:30 a.m. on October 2. Official remarks will begin at 11 a.m. Those looking for more information about the services offered by CCS and the CPL can visit caledon.library.on.ca or ccs4u.org. --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2024-09-19 10:45:35 Post date GMT: 2024-09-19 14:45:35 Post modified date: 2024-09-19 10:45:38 Post modified date GMT: 2024-09-19 14:45:38 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
