Caledon Butter Tart Festival returns with 50 vendors for 2026

The Caledon Butter Tart Festival is rolling back into Town this weekend, bringing 50 vendors with handcrafted sweets and goods.

The event, run by Gotta Luv ButterTarts, brings award-winning bakers and vendors under one roof at the Caledon East Community Complex for a “sweet” day of browsing.

Helen Prucha, with Gotta Luv ButterTarts, says that half of the 50 vendors will be selling butter tarts, and the other half will have something for everyone, even those without a sweet tooth.

Vendors will be on-site serving a variety of goods, including hot sauces, breads, and more.

“It's a foodie lover's delight,” says Prucha, adding local artisan vendors will also be on site selling various goods.

For the beloved butter tarts, she notes that there will be unique, gourmet tart flavours for everyone to try.

After hosting the event last year, Prucha says they're not looking to change much in 2026, except for the goal for community impact.

“I think the nice thing about last year's event, what I really loved was the outreach,” says Prucha.

In lieu of admission, the event accepts donations to The Exchange food bank in Caledon.

“Last year, we got over 100 pounds of food that was donated through the community generosity and they were blown away, and that led the way to helping a lot of families,” she says. “Our goal this year is to match or beat last year's.”

One of the best parts of the festival, Prucha adds, is that it's right here in Caledon.

“We've got award-winning bakers coming from all over Ontario,” she says.

“[Caledon residents] don't have to travel to visit any of these people, they're coming to them, and there'll be quite a variety,” she adds.

The event is held on Saturday, May 30, at the Caledon East Community Complex, and will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free, and organizers welcome attendees to bring donations for The Exchange in its place.
