Café Caledon welcomes all

Café Caledon is a new, exciting venture which has grown from previous experience with Lifetree Café.
Organizers have been trying various formats for cafés and have concluded that one that encourages group conversations in a less-structured, relaxed atmosphere is the one that works best. People from the community have indicated a preference for this type of café, where the focus is on conversation and the subjects are of current interest.
Café Caledon will take place in the usual casual coffeehouse setting, with free admission, and snacks and beverages being available. It will meet the first and third Wednesday of the month from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
The Café will still be in the St. James Church Building, at 6025 Old Church Rd. in Caledon East. There is lots of parking at the back of the building.
Jan. 21, the topic will be Atheism; What atheists believe (or don't believe) and why.
The programs for subsequent café meetings will have a varied range of subjects. Examples of what's in the works are What We Need to Know about the Tar Sands Project and Gluten-Free Diets — Fad or Necessity.
