Brand new beauty bar ‘Bright & Boujee’ opens in downtown BoltonWritten By ALYSSA PARKHILL Bolton has always been a beautiful place, but local resident Christine Delicata is bringing a little bit more shine to the community. Bright & Boujee is a beauty bar that opened up on Oct. 1. Located at 4 Queen St. in the downtown core, Delicata and her husband got the quant space in September and did a full makeover job, turning it into a sleek and modern space. Bright and Boujee offers a variety of services that will continue to expand as the shop broadens. “As far as beauty services go, we offer facials, eye lashes, body contouring and I have other girls that are certified in other beauty services,” says Delicata. “I have an eye lash artist who do eyelashes, eyebrows and even waxing. The body contouring specialist specializes in vacuum therapy and radio frequency, and that's for skin tightening.” She added, “We also do teeth whitening and tooth gems, which are Swarovski crystals that are glued to the teeth the same way as the dentist puts on braces.” While Bright and Boujee is new to Bolton, the business itself has been going strong for more than a year. Previously focusing solely on teeth whitening and tooth gems, Christine decided to broaden her horizons when she decided her business was getting too big to operate out of her home. “It was hard because you don't always know who you're inviting into your home and things like that. I wanted to get a space, but ultimately, because I was so new, it's such a small business, I didn't know if I could really afford to do that,” explains Delicata. “I just built up my clientele more and more and from there I started to offer other services, and I got certified in other beauty services.” But for the most curious question of all. How did she think of the name Bright and Boujee? “Because I started off doing teeth whitening, that's where the bright comes in. My friends and family always kind of tease me and would say to me that I'm very boujee because of my certain taste or style. It doesn't necessarily mean what people would associate with back in the old school days, as if boujee people are stuck up. I'd like to think of it more as like, it's a certain type of style or swag. It's just a little bit of high class, a little bit of a step up from there, whatever that means.” If you're feeling a little boujee yourself, contact Christine for more information on the services she provides by calling 647-557-1833, email at brightnboujee@gmail.com, or visit the shop located on Queen St. |
