It promises to be a celebration of 160 years of history, tradition and progress as Brampton Fall Fair goes this weekend.
The grounds will be open tonight (Thursday), but the real activities will start tomorrow and run all weekend.
The Fair is put on by the Region of Peel Agricultural Society, a not-for-profit organization aimed at bridging the gap between rural and urban lifestyles and dedicated to preserving and maintaining the rural legacy of the area.
The weekend will feature a host of attractions, including agricultural displays and educational demonstrations, entertainers, food and lots of fun.
There are some special features in the works for this year, including a Movie Under the Stars, set to start at 8 p.m. tonight — Monsters U.
As well, Toronto FC On the Road will be set up in the infield area Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The program is designed to connect, grow and celebrate soccer participation from the grass-roots level up. The soccer themed activities are fun, interactive and have been created to educate and develop future talent while at the same time highlight the core physical and social values that are the root of the game.
The Fairgrounds are at 12942 Heart Lake Rd., at Old School Road, in Caledon. Admission to the Fair is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and $2 for children younger than 12.
