Bolton Dominos serves up support for Caledon Public Library

Caledon Public Library (CPL) has partnered up with a local business to help raise funds and support of the local library. 

Bolton Dominos is giving the community the opportunity to support their local library by donating one dollar out of every cheesy bread that is ordered from December 1 until the end of the month. 

The idea was developed by Dominos who wanted to connect with CPL and play their part in supporting local organizations in Caledon.

“CPL is always eager to partner with local businesses in any ways that benefits both us and them,” said Mary Maw, Manager, Communications and Community Development for the Library. “We are always looking for ways to enhance the services we offer beyond what is already supported by the tax base.”

“We were so excited when Dominos approached us with the offer,” she continued.

In addition to supporting the library by raising funds, Dominos is providing information about different services offered by CPL.

“We are thrilled to have the support of Dominos,” said Maw. “In addition to donating $1 from every cheesy bread sold, they are also featuring information about our digital library and instant card on 5,000 pizza box toppers for the month of December.”

CPL offers a temporary instant card for Caledon residents to access the library's digital resources. Individuals can later apply for a permanent library card.

The partnership is beneficial for both parties, and it gives them the ability to support one another and encourage the community.

“Helping the community to know where we are and that we will be open through these times was our goal and we want to do as much as we can to work with the Bolton community and hope that when people think pizza, they think Domino's because we are active in the community,” said Dominos representative Rocquisha Whyte.

Added Maw: “While there is a ‘donate' button on our website and we always welcome donations, we also understand that during these difficult times it is more about how we can support the community. The best way to support us is by getting a library card and making use of all our services and resources. We now offer the ability to register online for an instant library card at www.cpl.social/card and our Digital Library www.cpl.social/digital is available 24/7 with a wealth of online resources for all ages.”
