			<title>Board offers opportunity to earn credit in ‘School on a Bus’</title>

			<content-encoded><![CDATA[Dufferin-Peel secondary students will have a unique opportunity to participate in a new and exciting learning experience next summer.
School on a Bus is a study tour program run by the Dufferin-Peel District Catholic School Board, which provides students with an opportunity to travel and tour Ottawa, Montreal and New York while earning a secondary credit in civics/careers. The program will run from July 2 to July 18, with pre-trip classes to be held July 2, 3 and 4 and post-trip classes to be held July 14 to 18. Students will tour Ottawa, Montreal and New York from July 5 to 11.
The cost for the program is $1,400 and includes tour transportation; accommodation and classroom facilities; breakfast and dinner, daily and lunch when not traveling on excursions; instruction by a Dufferin-Peel, Ontario qualified teacher; excursions; and all study tours as part of the instructional program for the course.
An important information meeting will be held Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in Room 301 at the board's Catholic Education Centre at 40 Matheson Blvd., West in Mississauga.
Application and deposit deadline for School on a Bus is Jan. 1.
