BFC open house will be Sunday

The annual open house and fly-in at Brampton Flight Centre is getting close.
It is scheduled for Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Last year's open house was one of the facility's best, in terms of attendance, the weather, entertainment and flying. They had volunteers and staff who contributed significantly to the success.
Once again, they are looking for volunteers to help out for this year's annual event. They are hoping to introduce new and exciting activities to entice more people to attend.
Admission for visitors is $5 per person or $20 for a family (two adults and related children 13 to 18). All of the ticket sales from the event will go to support The Great War Flying Museum.
Visitors will be able to experience the sights, sounds and feel of the First World War replica fighter biplanes and triplanes flying every half hour, military enactment, classic and antique aircraft, antique automobiles, motorcycles and amateur built aircraft. The open house also gives the community an opportunity to learn about the flight school programs and kids flight camps.
Activities and specials offered at the open house will include sightseeing flights for $40; Red Bird Simulator flights at $20 for 15 minutes; information about the 892 Air Cadet Squadron; airport tours; birds of prey from Bird Control Services Inc.; Clowns of California; gifts and gear at Humphrey's pilot shop; live music; an outdoor barbecue; and more.
Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to call Nanci at 905-838-1400 ext. 333 or [email protected]
