Athletes of the Week
Mayfield Secondary School Ashley Lawrence This Grade 12 student has been making her mark on the soccer pitches, having played centre-midfield on the senior girls' team at Mayfield, which made it to the semi finals at ROPSSAA. She also plays for the Toronto Lady Lynx and has attended camps for the National Team. The 18-year-old lives in Strawberry Fields with her parents Tina and Raphael Emovon.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Quinton Davis The 16-year-old was a pitcher and catcher for the varsity baseball team. He also helped carry the school colours on the golf course, making it to the Regionals. He's also played hockey and football at school. In the community, he plays in the Bolton Braves organization, and is a centre when he plays hockey for the Caledon Hawks. The Grade 10 student lives in the Caledon East area. His parents are Alice Flynn and Steve Sidoriak.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School Andrew Mangiapane This Grade 11 student was named Athlete of the Year at his school, having distinguished himself in hockey and badminton. Away from school, he plays AAA hickey in the Toronto Junior Canadiens organization. The 17-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Peter and Patricia Mangiapane
Humberview Secondary School Emma Chan This 15-year-old showed her prowess playing power for the school's junior volleyball team, and was also shortstop for the varsity softball team. Outside of school, she plays softball for Brampton Slam. The Grade 9 student lives in Bolton with her parents William Chan and Wendy Jenkins.
