Athletes of the Week
Mayfield Secondary School Gavin Stone This 16-year-old demonstrated his skills as a sculler, placing fourth at the Nationals at St. Catharines. He was also a linebacker on the school's junior football team and was a nordic skier. Away from school, he's active in the Island Lake Rowing Club. The Grade 10 student lives in Brampton. His parents are Bill and Terri Stone.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Kyle Hauck This Grade 10 student was a shortstop and pitcher on the school's varsity baseball team, and he also played power on the junior volleyball team. Outside of school, he plays in the Bolton Braves organization, and he used to play hockey. The 15-year-old lives in the Caledon village area. His parents are Tracy and Jeff Hauck.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School Jen Nobile This 16-year-old was Athlete of the Year among the girls at St. Michael this year, being active in field hockey, curling, hockey, badminton and softball. In the community, she's active in hockey and baseball. The Grade 11 student lives in Bolton with her parents Alex and Julie Nobile.
Humberview Secondary School Jesse Morgenroth-Rebin This Grade 11 student has been reaching heights as a pole vaulter, having finished second at ROPSSAA and coming in first at a regional meet. He's also a cross-country runner, training out of 310 Running, and is a member of Phoenix Martial Arts. The 17-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Karen Morgenroth and Cal Rebin.
