There was fun and interesting activity going on Saturday as the Community Farm opened. The attractions included the chance to see some interesting animals. Kate Burgess, 5, and her brother Ashton, 2, were making new friends here.Photos by Bill Rea There was lots of work being done, like planting. Kristina Rettie of Hockley Valley and her daughter Sloan, 4, were busy planting onions. Claudio Chiappette of Bolton was getting some help from his daughter Samantha, 8, as they were getting their farm plot ready. They are first-time farmers, and are planning to plant tomatoes, peppers and strawberries. There were some crafts for young people to work on. Andrew Smercina, 3, of Caledon East, was making sure this rock was covered with paint. --------------------------------------------------- Images: https://caledoncitizen.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/18-farm-chick-8.8-300x284.jpg https://caledoncitizen.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/18-farm-onion-5.5-300x208.jpg https://caledoncitizen.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/18-farm-work-5.5-213x300.jpg https://caledoncitizen.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/18-farm-rock-5.5-293x300.jpg --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2016-05-05 09:08:02 Post date GMT: 2016-05-05 13:08:02 Post modified date: 2016-05-12 15:54:50 Post modified date GMT: 2016-05-12 19:54:50 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
