A generous donation, but was it intended?

Caledon Community Services (CCS) operates two fabulous thrill-of-the-find thrift stores in Caledon.
Chez Thrift on Queen Street has clothing and smaller household articles and the ReUstore on Industrial Road has household furnishings and much more. Donations are gladly accepted. They are top-notch quality and the prices for re-sell cannot be beat!
We recently received a donation at at Chez Thrift and inside the donated article was a very large sum of money; enough to take a nice trip during the nasty cold of winter. A sizeable sum indeed!
We are always grateful for the community's kindness in donating items they no longer use. Last year, our salvage operations and stores' sales generated almost $700,000 in revenue. Once we paid for the cost of our operations, all of the net proceeds were put right back into community services. That amounts to lots of rides for seniors, healthy food for families and warm houses over the winter.
If you recently made a donation to one of our stores and inadvertently left money in the article donated, please send an email to info@ccs4u.org
Please provide a description of the article donated and the amount of money you accidentally left inside. We'll then be in touch with you.
CCS would very much like to get this money back to its rightful owner.
