The Wolfpack from Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School hit the ice last week for the first time this season, kicking off their ROPSSAA schedule against St. Marguerite D'Youville of Brampton in an afternoon road matchup.
The Hall team came in as a much more inexperienced squad, while the Panthers were already skating in their fourth game of the season.
However, it didn't show on the ice, as the Wolfpack took an early lead less than five minutes into the match.
With four minutes left in the first frame, Noah DoPaco took a nice cross-ice feed at the side of the net, burying it over the Panther goaltender's stacked pads to double the lead.
The offence was complimented by a nice penalty kill to end the first, with the Hall players executing an effective box in their own zone to keep the opponent to the outside.
It didn't take long to add another marker in the second period, as 30 seconds in, a nice forecheck by Vito Sica resulted in a Panthers hooking call in their own end.
Hall capitalized shortly after, on a scramble out front for the 3-0 lead.
Before the end of the period, DoPaco put the game out of reach with a tipped-in shot.
The Panthers were able to break the shutout in the third, but that would be as close as they would come, with the last five minutes of play spent almost entirely in the D'Youville end.
The Wolfpack continue their slow and steady start to the season Thursday against North Park Secondary, who already sit at a 4-2 record.

Noah DoPaco scores his first of two goals last week in Robert F. Hall's 4-1 win over St. Marguerite D'Youville.
