A 70-year-old man is in custody in connection with the Sept. 13 slaying of Donato Frigo of Caledon East.
Members of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch arrested Boris Panovski, 70, without incident Sunday as he tried to re-enter Canada at Pearson International Airport.
Mr. Frigo was shot to death while riding a horse with a female companion near the Hullett Conservation Area in Central Huron. The female victim was able to reach safety and suffered minor injuries.
Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for Panovski late last week. He has been charged with first degree murder and attempted murder.
