OPP camp students will help with food drive

July 24, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Caledon OPP will be hosting its annual OPP Youth Leadership Camp the week of Aug. 5 to 9.
Several community activities have been planned to engage the youth, including a food drive in Caledon village Aug. 6. Police along with the 18 youths taking part in the camp will be in the village at 1 p.m., picking up non-perishable food items from homes. All of the donations will be distributed to local food banks and shelters.
Organizers are requesting that if homeowners are away, they can leave the food items in a bag at their front door or on their doorsteps.
Local police are thinking supporters in advance for their donations to this cause and their commitment to the youth of the community.
