Owners Haseeb and Raika, told us about their business and why they decided to open this, their first store, in Bolton. Tell us a little about your business, what do you offer? Is there anything that makes Tijoris Home unique from your competitors? Tijoris is a family owned business that is focused on bringing a little sparkle to everyone's home by providing crystal chandeliers, LED lights, Home Decor and Accent Pieces. This is our first store with many more to come.  What makes us unique is that we offer design consultation as a value add. Every client of ours knows we are not just selling lights or décor but an experience! We don't just source mass produced products we also offer some custom made furniture made here in Canada by Canadians. How did you get into this business? Over the years as we were decorating our home we had a hard time finding a store that provided unique pieces with sparkle and quality all in one spot. We figured this was the case for others too so we decided to provide the services and high quality pieces we had been looking for. Why did you choose to locate your business in Caledon? We love this area and neighborhood as it still has the small town charm and community feel. This community was under serviced when it came to décor and lighting and we feel we can add to the vibrancy of Caledon / Bolton. How many people do you employ? We have two full time family members (Husband and Wife)  and two part time family members (our son and nephew) but hope to grow by adding staff for extended hours in the evenings and adding Sundays. What is it about owning your own business that gives you the most satisfaction?  Working for yourself can be challenging, you have to make personal sacrifices, but in the long run it offers great satisfaction. The fact that we can assist people in beautifying the biggest and most important investment, their homes, is very satisfying! Any fun or interesting thing you do at your workplace to keep everyone working as a team? We focus on the vision, bringing sparkle to every situation. We have team events and are consistently trying to find ways to give back to the community and that is gratification in itself!
