The AA club's only action of the week came on the road against the Orioles in New Lowell, where Nick Pattinaro and the Brewers held off a late charge for a 6 – 5 win. Pattinaro moved to a perfect 6 – 0 on the mound for the season in the start, allowing an early first inning run to Clearview's TJ Parker before settling in for four-straight shutout innings. Taking a 6 – 1 lead into the penultimate sixth inning, Pattinaro started showing fatigue in giving up three runs thanks to a string of singles, making way for Trent Barwick to go for the save. Barwick was able to put an end to Clearview's momentum at the plate after one more run, throwing a scoreless seventh to squeak out a 6 – 5 win. Brett Chater led the way for Bolton's bats, knocking in his seventh home run of the season, just one behind the league-leading eight from Ivy's Adrian Gutierrez. Six different Brewers crossed the plate, including Mike Wallace, Chris Fafalios, Brett Barwick, Carter Burnside, and Andrew White. Pattinaro's stat line read four hits over four full innings, adding five strikeouts while walking five batters. Despite a recent string of success, including wins in five of their last six games dating back to late June, a slowdown in the Brewers schedule has allowed both the Ivy Leafs and New Lowell Knights to pass them in the point count. Bolton's record of 18-3-2 is good for third in the fourteen-team league, six points back of the league-leading Leafs. The Brewers return to the diamond on Sunday to close out their regular season schedule in back-to-back road meetings with the Barrie Angels and the Leafs. They sit eight points up on the fourth-place Orioles with only the weekend left for teams to wrap up their season. Their Bolton counterparts, the Dodgers, wrap up their season with a doubleheader against the Creemore Braves on Saturday. They sit middle of the pack with a record of 9-12-1.
