This year, our annual Rotary Gala and Auction was held Nov. 18 at the Caledon Estates Banquet Halls.
It was an incredible night of food, fun, friendship, entertainment, dancing and fundraising. The event celebrated Canada’s and Ontario’s 150th birthday and many of our 175 guests came decked out in red and white formal attire to match our theme for the evening.
The event raised $37,000, and all of the proceeds will go toward local community projects and services.
Congratulations to the Gala and Auction Committee (Derek Clark, Janet Clark, Susan Hicks, Pat Clifford, Elizabeth Rustja, Samantha Ferens, Natalie Saarimaki, Clarise Chauvin, Jean Szmidt and Trevor Hawkes) for their hard work, efforts and commitment for organizing this event.
The Rotary Club of Palgrave would also like to thank Scotiabank (First Street Branch, Orangeville), Bolton GM, Foodland (Caledon East), Coffey Creek Farm, The Church Public Inn and The Government of Ontario (Ontario 150 Community Celebration Program) for their financial support and contribution toward the 2017 Gala.
Thank you once again to all who came, supported and donated to this fundraiser. We look forward to the 2018 Gala and Auction.

The Rotary Club of Palgrave recently held the annual Gala and Silent Auction at Caledon Estates Banquet Halls. Caledon East resident Jessica Sole was providing music early in the evening.

Fi and Dan Plastina of Palgrave were looking over some of the items available in the silent auction.
