Sunday night standings not changed much in first half of November

After two weeks of November action, the same three teams who led the Sunday Night Hockey League at the end of October are still occupying the same three spots in the standings.
Third place Ainsley Fire Protection Fire have won their first two matches of the month, so they have pulled a bit closer to the two leaders, who both split their pair of games. The Ken’s Lawnmower Repair Blades remain on top with 15 points, followed by Inside Out Family Chiropractic Predators with 14, Fire with 11 and Mr. Handyman Ice Hogs with 10. The Pommies Cider Co. Wild and Caledon Hills Brewing Co. Brewers share fifth place with eight, followed by the St. Louis Bar and Grill Wings with six and the Glen Eagle Golf Club Griffins.

Predators 6, Wings 4
This week’s scores were close.
The first game of the night saw the Wings get clipped by the Predators. Predator power came from Cam Coulter with two and Howard Cantelon, Mike Desario, Kevin Christie and Steve Hutchins with singles, helped by Darren Jones, Fab Iafano, Desario, John Hutchinson and Coulter. Wings’ flyers were Mike Blackwood with two, while Jody Spagnol and Sandro Mignosa got singles. Assists were from Blackwood and Spagnol.
Fire 3, Blades 2
In the second match, Blades were handed their first loss of the year at the hands of the full-benched Fire.
Fire net nabbers were Mike Andreoli from Tim Vokey, Alex White from David DiMeo, and Vokey from Shane Ainsley. Blade lamp lighters was Brett Appio with both from Bogdan Rapan and Shawn Simpson.
Brewers 5, Griffins 2
The third game of the evening saw the Griffins get drowned in beer from the Brewers.
Brewer twine ticklers were Jay Beech and Mike Ferguson with two apiece, with Joe Doan scoring the single. Assists were from the sticks of Beech, Kevin Bowen, Mike Swan, Brent Spagnol and Doan. Griffin go-to guys were Ron Toffan and Richard Archer, both unassisted.
Ice Hogs 5, Wild 2
The last game of the night saw the Wild get spilled by the Ice Hogs.
Handyman point getters were Matt Moss from Justin de Abaitua, Adam Minatel from Greg Keenan, Jon Hoy from Steve Pinarello, Minatel from Moss and Graham Bryson, and Marc de Abaitua from Moss and Minatel. Wild whippers were Shaun Heron from Craig Shaw and Steve Brown, and Shaw from Heron.
The first week of the month saw the Blades get a bit of air at the top of the standings, but they wouldn’t get to keep it long.
Nov. 5
Wild 9, Brewers 5
The first game in November saw the Wild squeeze the hops out of the Brewers and take the win.
Leading the charge for the Wild was Craig Shaw with five goals and two assists. The balance of the scoring came from Heron with two and Steve Whitten and Jason Clark, each with the singles. Assists were from the sticks of Heron, Clark and Sean Mazurkiewicz. Brewers’ beer slingers were Bowen, Swan, John McNamara, Steve Conforti and Brent Spagnol, with help from Dave Matheson, Bob McHardy, Brandon Scott, Ferguson and Spagnol.
Ice Hogs 6, Griffins 3
The next game saw the Ice Hogs drop the hammer on the Griffins.
Handyman heroes were Brad Sztorc and Minatel with two each and Kevin Hayashi with the single. Helpers were from the sticks of Brandon Jones, Minatel and Moss. Griffins go-to guys were Jesse Thompson with a pair and Michael Horsley with the single, with assists coming from Mike Brioux, Kevin Norris and Toffan.
Blades 5, Predators 4
In the closest match of the night, the Blades cut off the legs of the Predators and took the win.
Blade bin bulgers were Appio and Darren Levy with two each and Shawn Simpson with the single. Assists were from Dave Gardilcic, Greg Fuller and Mark Bauldry. Predator pouncers were Christie, Darren Jones and Iafano with a pair, with help from Jones and Colin Fyffe.
Fire 9, Wings 1
In the last game of the night, the Fire were burning it up and scorched the Wings.
Fire firers were Mark and Mike Andreoli and Ainsley with two each, while DiMeo, James Kennedy and Eamon Harper had singles. Assists were from Brad Wigner, Ainsley, Kennedy, Jeff Grimshaw and Mark Andreoli. The Wings’ lone lamp lighter was Derek Marciano from Chuck Hughes.
