From the opening a capella chorus of Seven Bridges Road, the audience at CrossCurrents Cafe was under the spell of BACA Friday night, a trio of female voices that brought rich, luxurious harmonies, unique arrangements of classic songs and spontaneity and good-natured humour their show. BACA combines the talents of Samantha Pollard on percussion, Suze Burmester on acoustic guitar and Elana Harte on acoustic guitar, bass and cajon. Together they were indomitable, bringing power, conviction and deeply-skilled vocal work and chemistry between them.
