Community gathers to remember the fallen

Town of Caledon staff were joined by students at Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Friday in a Remembrance Day service. Members of the Sandhill Pipes and Drums led the parade from the school to Town Hall. ayor Allan Thompson thanked people for braving the cold, asking them to think of what it must have been like to serve in trenches or mud.

Students from St. Cornelius Elementary School led the singing of O Canada at the service.

Alice Mahon laid a wreath on behalf of the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service.

Grand Knight Luigi Grieco was representing the St. John’s Albion Knights of Columbus Council 16227.

R.F. Hall student Peter Zarzecki played the Last Post and Reveille.

Darryl Thompson of Caledon Fire and Emergency Services led the singing of God Save the Queen.

Hal Graham of the Sandhill Pipes and Drums performed the Piper Lament.

R.F. Hall students Damien Houston and Vanessa Ramos were among those laying wreaths at Friday’s ceremony.
