Services of Remembrance held Sunday in Bolton and Alton

The communities of Bolton and Alton were out at their respective Cenotaphs Sunday to remember those who served and fell in wars and other military actions ver the years. Bolton resident Kevin Junor led the parade from the Fire Hall in Bolton to the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Maj. Steve Jones of CFB Borden laid a wreath on behalf of veterans of Afghanistan.

Bolton resident Kelley Potter was the celebrant at the service in Bolton.

Cpl. Christine Savoie of CFB Borden played the Last Post and Reveille at the service in Bolton.

The choir of Alton Public School, under the direction of Judith Phillips, led the singing of O Canada at the ceremonies.

Larry Weltz, president of the Alton branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, laid this wreath at Sunday’s ceremony.

Mayor Allan Thompson laid this wreath on behalf of the Town of Caledon.
