An 18-year-old man from Toronto is facing charges after Caledon OPP officer spotted a case of excessive speeding on Highway 10 July 24.
Police report the officer was conducting radar enforcement shortly before 10 p.m. when she saw a black 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer traveling at high speed. She determined it was going 157 km-h in a posted 80 zone.
During the traffic stop, the officer conducted an investigation under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act which led to a 20-year-old passenger being charged with possession of a schedule II substance (cannabis marijuana) — under 30 grams and failing to comply with a probation order.
