Caledon OPP is looking out for drinking drivers at all hours.
Police report they charged a 26-year-old Caledon man Monday morning at about 8 a.m. at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spot check at the intersection of Mountainview Road and Walker Road West near Caledon East.
They said a vehicle failed to stop either for their signal or for a stop sign. An officer followed it, pulling it over. The officer noticed a small child was in the vehicle.
The officer also noticed the driver’s ability seemed to be impaired by alcohol, so the man was arrested.
He was charged with impaired driving, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system, disobeying a stop sign and failing to stop when directed by police.
