Driver charged

A complaint about a possible impaired driver resulted in a 20-year-old Caledon resident being charged July 25.
Caledon OPP reports they received to complaint at about 11:45 p.m. and went to the SouthFields Village area to investigate.
An officer located the suspect vehicle, a red 2013 Honda Accord, and observed it was being driven dangerously within the subdivision. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle by activating the cruiser’s emergency lights; however, the car drove away. Subsequently, a second cruiser was able to intercept the vehicle from fleeing southbound on Kennedy Road.
The driver was charged with impaired driving, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in their system, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight while being pursued by a peace officer.
