Free information session for employers

Ontario’s worker’s compensation system is constantly changing and becoming more complex.
There’s a free service that can help.
Jobs Caledon of Caledon Community Services (CCS) will be hosting a free presentation Aug. 9 at 18 King St. E Upper Level in bolton for employers. It will run from 9 to 11 a.m.
Elizabeth Parkinson, from the Office of the Employer Advisor (OEA), will provide information about their expert services and how they assist employers with workplace safety and insurance issues.
“Our service is free, completely confidential and separate from the Ministry of Labour,” Parkinson said. “Employers call us every day to ask questions about workplace safety and insurance or Section 50 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and they receive answers and consultation on how best to handle situations they are experiencing.”
As an employer adviser for more than 25 years, she has experience to help any employer address concerns about workplace safety and insurance and S50 of the Occupational Health and Safety act.
All are invited for coffee and light refreshments while learning how to navigate WSIB issues to save money and time.
Seating at the session will be limited. To register, contact CCS at jobs@ccs4u.org, or phone 905-584-2300, ext. 200.
