For an inaugural event, last Friday’s Cheers Caledon was a big success. It’s estimated that 1,200 people attended to sample some locally brewed beer and cider, and have a good time in the process. Mayor Allan Thompson was on hand to welcome everyone to Cheers Caledon, accompanied by Caledon Councillors Jennifer Innis, Johanna Downey, Barb Shaughnessy, Gord McClure and Nick de Boer, as well as Councillor Michael Palleschi of Brampton.

There was lots of food at Cheers Caledon. Howard Beckett and James de Wet of Howard the Butcher in Caledon East were busy keeping up with the demand.
