HomeJames looking for volunteers

May 26, 2017   ·   0 Comments

HomeJames enters its 10th year with a record number of 19 nights of operation on its calendar, beginning with Lobsterfest in Bolton May 27, followed Caledon Day in Caledon East, June 16 and 17 and the annual Wines of the World celebration in Palgrave June 24.
HomeJames will provide free dedicated driver services delivering motorists and their passengers safely home and avoiding the risks of potentially grievous consequences associated with impaired driving.
Providing this service will require an average of 24 drivers and navigators every night. And so, program organizers have begun their annual appeal for volunteers.
HomeJames operations are supported by a new, people-friendly computerized, volunteer registration program, a more robust “request a ride” method now accepting both telephone and smart-phone app requests and a new, made-in-Canada dispatch system which keeps minute-by-minute tabs on every HomeJames vehicle to ensure prompt, efficient and effective responses from drivers asking for a safe ride home in their own vehicle.
Spring events begin at 8 p.m. and are completed before midnight. And, best of all, HomeJames veterans will tell you its “fun.”
Volunteers are invited to register at Homejames-caledon.ca or by calling 905-951-9000.
