Serious charges result from ValleyWood incident

A 27-year-old man from Brampton is facing a number of charges after an incident last Wednesday in the ValleyWood area.
Caledon OPP reports they were called to a home and found that three men had been socializing there early in the morning.
Police said one of the people was asked to leave. An argument started, with the accused apparently brandishing a knife and demanding the victim hand over jewelry he was wearing. He was assaulted with the knife when he did not comply with the demand.
The other man on the scene intervened in the incident, and he too was assaulted with the knife.
The alleged attacker fled, according to police. They added the victims and accused are all known to each other. One of the victims required hospital treatment.
The accused was later arrested and charged with robbery with a weapon, aggravated assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
