Service to mark anniversary of Battle of Vimy Ridge

Branch 15 of the Royal Canadian Legion will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge with a parade and service Sunday.
It will be at Memorial Square Cenotaph outside Brampton City Hall at 2 Wellington St. West starting at 10:25 a.m.
Road closures will be in effect from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Main Street South from Queen Street to Clarence Street and Wellington Street West from George Street South to Chapel Street
Brampton Transit will provide regular service. Transit stores will be open. War veterans will be able to ride free on Brampton Transit by producing a Brampton Transit “War Veteran Pass” or by wearing a uniform, medals, beret or blazer.
