Bowling for Kids Sake in Bolton

Bowling for Kids Sake in Bolton Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel hosted their annual Tim Hortons Bowl for Kids Sake at Skyview Lanes in Bolton recently. The is part of the largest fundraising event of the year for the agency. The Matson Marauders of Cedar Mills had enough participants out recently to put together two teams, and they won the award for being the Best Dressed Team. The joint team consisted of (front) Hank Vanvugt, Liz Carter, Janet Clark, Derek Clark, (standing) Janet Muir, Karen Peirce, Ian Carter, Wilma Clarke, Darlene Vanvugt, Mike Cauthier, Steve Dranitsaris and James Clarke.

Councillor Jennifer Innis was bowling on the Town’s team with her two daughters. She was helping Lyra, 4 line up a shot while Jolee, 7, watched.

Mayor Allan Thompson was on hand for the official opening of the recent event to praise Big Brothers Big Sisters “They do a lot of great work in our community,” he said.

Volunteer Renne Jackson presented an award to Janet Muir for raising the most money. She collected pledges for $1,932.
