BOOST FOR MILLPOND REHABILITATION The weather might not have been ideal for the recent Alton Millpond Hockey Classic at Alton Mill, but the results were still pretty good. Mill co-owner Jeremy Grant said $10,000 was raised and another $3,000 was contributed by the Scotiabank branch in Orangeville to the Alton Millpond Rehabilitation Project. On hand for the recent cheque presentation were Brittney Ventura, Christine Ciurleo, Dirk Kuemmling and Valerie Borden of Scotiabank, Grant, Randy Ugolini of the Mill Pond Association and event committee members Steve Hayward and Beth Staite.
