A 27-year-old man from New Tecumseth is facing charges after encountering a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spot check on Regional Road 50 Sunday.
Caledon OPP reports officers noticed a strong smell of alcohol on the breath of the driver of a grey Hyundai. They demanded the man provide a breath sample, and he registered a fail on the roadside testing device.
He was charged with driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
