Rotary Club of Palgrave’s Weekly Rotary Minute

The spirit of Rotary is alive and well in the Rotary Club of Palgrave!
During the past year, I volunteered to be the purveyor of the weekly Rotary Minute. The support of all those who did a Rotary Minute with such a wide variety of topics provides a reliable indication that the principles of Rotary are with us on a daily basis.
Another indication of how well the spirit of Rotary is with us came during the Wines of the World event last June 25 at the Palgrave Equestrian Centre. Saturday morning, I was part of the busy set-up crew and there must have been 20 volunteers of all ages working non-stop for two to three hours, doing our best to make everything right. Then as the evening was coming to a close, I noticed two of our Honorary Rotarians collecting wine glasses from our patrons as they were leaving the event. Dave and Bill would have been very proud of the super work Pam and Marie were carrying out for the good of Rotary.
Another fine example of “Service Above Self!”
Rotary is much more than a weekly dinner meeting to Palgrave Rotarians and I am proud to be a member of such a super group. A very fine example of the success that results from men and women having the opportunity to enjoy the trust and fellowship of one another, while reaching out to make our community and the world community a better place. Easy to say, but we in the Rotary Club of Palgrave practise what we preach in our Rotary Minutes! Good people doing good things!
