Waste exemption period offered by Peel

Beginning this week until June 3, Peel residents are offered a waste exemption period on their regularly scheduled garbage collection day for acceptable excess garbage.
Excess garbage will not be collected if it is placed at the curb on residents recycling week.
Residents are encouraged to visit peelregion.ca/waste to check their collection calendar for their garbage exemption day.
During the waste exemption period, residents who receive curbside collection can place unlimited amounts of acceptable excess garbage at the curb without garbage bag tags.
Residents must ensure there is one metre of space between their excess bags of garbage and their garbage and organics carts.
