Region not doing survey on governance

Peel Region is not surveying residents on matters of governance.
Regional CAO David Szwarc gave the assurances at last Thursday’s Regional council meeting to Barb Shaughnessy of Caledon.
The Ward 1 councillor expressed concern that some Caledon residents have been contacted to take part in a survey on regional governance, supposedly being conducted by the Region.
That was news to Szwarc.
“There’s no staff-initiated survey about governance under way,” he told Shaughnessy.
He added the Region does customer service surveys every two years, but the last one was completed late last year.
